Investigation of Collision Induced Transitions in the Microwave Range: Ethylene Oxide and Carbonylsulfide
نویسنده
چکیده
Collisional energy transfer between rotational levels of ethylene oxide C2H4O, its deuterated species C2D4O and carbonyl sulfide OCS, has been investigated by means of microwave-microwave four-level double resonance. The results are in agreement with collisional selection rules which can be predicted in the weak collision limit. Collisionally induced transitions up to AJ = 4 have been detected for C2D4O.

متن کاملMicrowave-assisted synthesis of molybdenum oxide nanoparticles
This paper focused on a simple approach for synthesis of molybdenum oxide (MoO3) nanoparticles and reports a facile route for synthesis of such nanoparticles, using microwave irradiation as a homogenous and powerful source of heating, using ethylene glycol as the solvent and heating medium. For more investigations, besides microwave heating, the obtained solutions were also treated by conventio...
متن کاملInvestigation of T\ and T» Relaxation for Ethylene Oxide Rotational Transitions
In this paper we report on the analysis of transient microwave experiments to determine the relaxation times Ti and T2 for ethylene oxide (C2H4O) rotational transitions. In recent years time resolved microwave techniques have primarily been applied to the study of T1 and T2 relaxation of OCS and NH3 [1]. To our knowledge ethylene oxide is with the exception of SO2 [2] the onty asymmetric top mo...
متن کاملSynthesis of Nickel/ Molybdenum Oxide Bimetallic Nanoparticles via Microwave Irradiation Technique
Nickel-molybdenum oxidebimetallic nanoparticles were synthesized in ethylene glycol using the microwave irradiation technique. According to the results, successive reduction of nickel and molybdenum ions, followed by thermal treatment of obtained nanoparticles led to formation of core-shell structured nickel-molybdenum oxide nanoparticles. According to the results, the thickness of the s...
متن کاملA Microwave Study of Collision-Induced Transitions between M-Resolved-Rotational levels of OCS
We have undertaken four-level MW-MW-double resonance experiments on OCS by using phasestabilized BWOs as radiation sources for pump and signal transitions. The pump radiation was on-off modulated by means of a Pin-modulator and amplified with a TWT microwave amplifier. In both frequency and time domain experiments the pump radiation frequency was held fixed at the resonance of the pump transiti...
